The Hurley Pro and Swatch Women’s Pro at Lower Trestles showcased some of the top performances on both the men’s and women’s competition over the past week and a half. In the men’s final, Mick Fanning beat out Adriano de Souza in a wave for wave battle that ultimately ended with Mick coming out on top.

This win comes about a month after the 3 time world champ fought off and survived a shark attack in the finals at Jefferey’s Bay. The Hurley Pro win added an extra sweetness, with Mick claiming the number one position on the Jeep Leaderboard rankings.

On the women’s end, Carissa Moore defeated Bianca Buitendag by delivering two solid 8′s. The finish comes after Carissa placed 5th at the Vans US Open of Surfing, in Huntington Beach. Moore continues to dominate this season and has plenty of momentum to go all the way. Stay tuned for the next stops on the tour, the Cascais Women’s Pro, September 22-28, and the Quiksilver Pro France, October 6-17.
