Meet Hawaiian female surfer Crystal Dzigas. She is a WSL longboard competitor, has a great outlook on the sport of surfing, her family and life. Crystal views traditional longboarding as a dance. Each motion and movement has a purpose, whether it’s elegantly cruising down the face or gracefully walking to the nose of the board. Sitting in the line-up scanning for the perfect 1960′s moon doggy gidget wave, Crystal describes her ideal wave as head-high with an open-face that allows her to simply cruise.
Watch Crystal Dzigas cruise up and down the dreamlike waves at Waikiki Beach, talk about her gnarliest wipeout at Ehukai Sandbar, and explain her position on localism.
